THEMATIC

Since the creation of the modern men, noise has become a part of our everyday life. An element which have gradually caused the loss and sense of ourselves and the world around us. Where social alienation has forced men to stop questioning what they see, what they feel and who they are as human beings.

From young age I was told that I was too silent, as if it was something wrong. I was just more an observer than a talker. I think that in some ways it scared people, because I forced them to question things. Now that I’m older, I understand that the ability to appreciate silence, is also to have the ability to see grace.

Silence has been a loyal companion and it showed me the immensity of life, but silence can also be a barrier. A wall which divedes us from one another. Silence can bring solitude and sorrow. It can bring misunderstandings and hurt. For this reason, my project will be a tribute to all the children who for diffrent reasons, are unable to communicate in the way that most of us can.

I grew up being a very lonely and silent child. People misunderstood my silence and judge it. For many years I thought that something was wrong with me and I tried and tried to seek an answer. Then I realized that this was just who I was. Nothing was wrong. So I accepted it, welcomed it and reborned in it.
